ABOUT US - What is UPSA?

The Undergraduate Psychology Students' Association (UPSA) aims to guide psychology students towards academic success through our academic, research and social support. Undergraduates can turn to the UPSA for information on various opportunities available within the field of psychology. As a member of UPSA one will gain access to exclusive volunteer opportunities from York University's Psychology labs and additional opportunities within UPSA's executive council, from which you will be granted a reference letter from our academic advisor.

As a member you will be kept up to date with our information sessions concerning graduate studies, SPSS, GRE and events such as Meet the Grads and Meet the Profs. Not only will you receive first hand information regarding admissions into Graduate school, mock GRE testing and volunteer opportunities but we also provide an intimate space where you can build relationships with fellow students, graduate students and professors alike.

Most notable of our academic services is our free undergraduate tutoring program where students are matched with experienced tutors offering assistance in a variety of courses including Introduction to Psychology (PSYC 1010) and Statistics for Behavioral Sciences (PSYC 2020/2021/2022). In addition, the Undergraduate Psychology Student Association provides a social outlet to meet individuals with similar interests and academic goals.
